# Choose, change or cancel your plan

> Choose a paid plan, change it or cancel it, to get the credits and features your business needs.

A paid [plan](/help/glossary#plan) adds [credits](/help/glossary#credit) every month and opens the features that need a plan. Every paid plan, whether Standard, Pro or Max, includes these:

* On its own in Run, connecting your social accounts, and Ted’s social posts
* Your website on your own domain, buying a domain, and email on your own domain
* Hiding the Foundable badge
* Your website emailing your customers
* Inviting your team
* Downloading your website’s code
* Bigger files for Ted

Pro and Max also add room for more foundables, and Premium, Ted’s best work in Run. Run also has a work quality called Standard, but it isn’t the Standard plan. Publishing your website never needs a plan.

Ted can tell you what each plan costs: ask him in the chat.

Your plan is your own account’s. In a foundable someone else owns, their plan counts, not yours.

## Choose a plan

**1. Open the plans**

Press **Upgrade** at the top, beside your foundable’s name. The plans also open when you try something that needs one. In **Settings** › **Plans & credit usage**, they’re under the card at the top.

**2. Choose how to pay**

Pick **Monthly** or **Yearly**. Each plan’s card shows its price a month and what it includes. In **Plans & credit usage**, press **Compare plans** to see every row.

**3. Press Subscribe**

Press **Subscribe** on the plan you want. For Max, first pick how many credits a month on its card. You’ll see “Opening checkout…”.

**4. Pay on Stripe’s page**

Enter your payment details on the checkout page of [Stripe](/help/glossary#stripe), the payment company. It shows what you’ll pay, with any tax, before you pay. Link, Stripe’s service that sells Foundable’s plans, charges you and emails your receipts.

**5. Start using your plan**

Back in Foundable, you’ll see “Your plan is active.”, then a welcome window with what your plan includes.

The card at the top of **Plans & credit usage** now shows your plan’s name and when it renews. If it says Stripe is still confirming your payment, wait a minute, then open **Settings** again.

## Change or cancel your plan

### Change your plan

In **Plans & credit usage**, your plan is the one that says **Current plan**. Pick **Monthly** or **Yearly**, then press the button on the plan you want:

* **Upgrade** or **Switch to yearly**: you confirm on Stripe’s page and pay the new plan’s price today. It starts today, and the credits you have stay.
* **Downgrade** or **Switch to monthly**: you confirm, and the change starts when your plan renews. You pay nothing today. Until then, **Keep** on your plan’s card cancels the change.

### Cancel your plan

**1. Open Manage billing**

In **Plans & credit usage**, press **Manage billing** on the card at the top. Stripe’s billing page opens.

**2. Cancel on Stripe’s page**

Cancel your plan there. Or cancel in your Link account at link.com.

Your plan keeps working until the end of the time you paid for, and the card at the top says when it ends. Then you’re on Free. Foundable freezes the plan credits you haven’t used, and they come back if you pay for a plan again before they expire.

## If something goes wrong

> **“Your last payment failed. Update your payment method to keep this plan.”**
>
> Stripe couldn’t take your last payment. Your plan keeps working while Stripe tries again, but new credits wait until it’s paid. In **Settings** › **Plans & credit usage**, press **Manage billing** and update your payment method. Left unpaid, the card at the top says “Payment is required to use this plan. Update your payment method.”, and paid features stop until you pay.

> **“Billing needs attention before Ted can run.”**
>
> Your plan’s payment needs fixing first. Press **Update payment** on the card above Ted’s message box, or **Manage billing** in **Plans & credit usage**.

> **“Stripe is still confirming your payment.”**
>
> Stripe hasn’t confirmed your payment yet. Your plan usually shows within a minute. Wait a minute, then open **Settings** again to see it.

> **“That checkout expired. Choose the plan again to start a new one.”**
>
> The payment page timed out. Choose your plan again.

> **“Billing is on hold for this account. Contact support.”**
>
> Billing for your account is on hold, and choosing a plan doesn’t lift it. [Contact support](/help/get-help).

> **“Your account is on hold, so Ted can’t … Contact support.”**
>
> Your account is on hold, so Ted can’t do this work for now. [Contact support](/help/get-help).
