# Check who signed up and add test users

> See who signed up to your website, ban or delete an account, and add test users to try your website as someone who signed in.

**Users**, in your website’s [Database](/build/database), lists everyone who signed up to your website. Ban or delete an account there, and add test users to see your website as someone who signed in.

Only the owner and admins can see and change Users.

**1. Open Users**

In Build, press **Tools**, then **Database**, then **Users**. A chart shows new sign-ups over the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Under it is everyone who signed up, with when they last signed in, if ever.

**2. Find someone**

Type their email or name in the search box.

**3. Ban or delete an account**

Press **…** beside a person. **View details** shows their account details. **Ban user** stops them signing in to your website until you press **Unban user**. **Delete user** asks first, then removes them for good.

## Try your website as someone else

A test user is a pretend account for checking what your website looks like to someone who signed in.

**1. Press Add test user**

In **Users**, press **Add test user**.

**2. Add a password if you want one**

The **Password** is optional. Add one to sign in as the test user on your website’s own email and password sign-in too. It needs at least one number, and Foundable tells you if it’s too short or too long.

**3. Press Add test user again**

Press **Add test user** again to finish. The test user joins the list, marked as a test user, with an address like `tester1@example.com`.

**4. Preview as the test user**

Press **…** beside the test user, then **Preview as**. Or choose them under **Viewing as** in the preview. See [Check your website before you publish](/build/check-your-website).

## Check that it worked

Your website opens signed in as the test user.

## If something goes wrong

> **“This user is still linked to data in your website’s database.”**
>
> Your website’s data still points to this person, so Foundable didn’t delete them. Change or remove those records in [Database](/build/database), then press **Delete user** again.

> **“Your website has … test users, the most it can have.”**
>
> A website can only have so many test users. Delete one you don’t need, then add a new one.

## FAQ

> **I forgot a test user’s password. Can I see it?**
>
> No. Foundable doesn’t show a test user’s password again or reset it. Delete the test user and add a new one.
