# Let Ted answer your social messages

> Have Ted write your replies to social messages, comments and reviews to answer people without writing each reply yourself.

Have Ted write your replies to the messages, comments and reviews in your [Inbox](/inbox/overview). An owner or admin sends each one, except on WhatsApp, where Ted can send it himself.

Ted can do this for you: ask him [in the chat](/ted/chat) to answer someone. He drafts each reply on a card for an owner or admin to approve. On WhatsApp, when the owner or an admin asks, he sends it right away.

Drafting replies with Ted needs an active plan. Only the owner or an admin can use **Reply with Ted** on social messages.

**1. Open the conversation**

In the Inbox, press **Social**, then the conversation. For a comment, press **Reply** under it.

**2. Press Reply with Ted**

It sits beside **Send** (the arrow). While Ted writes, it says so, and then his reply fills the box. Each reply he writes uses [credits](/help/glossary#credit).

**3. Read his reply**

Change any words you like. Nothing goes out yet.

**4. Press Send**

Your reply goes out and shows in the conversation.

## While Run works

In Run, Ted reads your messages, comments and reviews where a network’s **Follow audience activity** or **Reply to your audience** is on. With **Reply to your audience** on, he drafts replies. They wait under **From Ted** on Home, like his other drafts, for an owner or admin to send or decline.

On WhatsApp, with Run set to **On its own** and **Reply to messages** on, Ted sends his replies himself. See [Connect your social accounts](/run/social-accounts) and [Ask first or On its own](/run/ask-first-or-on-its-own).

## Check that it worked

A reply you send shows in the conversation. A reply Ted drafted waits under **From Ted** on [Home](/get-started/home) until an owner or admin sends or declines it.

## If something goes wrong

> **“Not enough credits for Ted to draft this reply.”**
>
> You don’t have enough credits for Ted’s reply. Get more, or write the reply yourself. See [Get more credits when you run out](/account/out-of-credits).

> **“Drafting replies with Ted needs an active plan.”**
>
> Ted drafts replies only with an active plan. Choose a plan, or write the reply yourself. See [Choose, change or cancel your plan](/account/change-your-plan).

> **“Ted couldn’t draft this reply. Try again.”**
>
> Ted’s draft didn’t work this time. Press **Reply with Ted** again. If the box says there are too many drafts just now, wait a minute first.
