One foundable runs one business. When you leave yours for a new one, Ted switches this foundable over to it. Ted does this for you, in the chat. Only the owner can ask, and not by text. Your foundable needs its first plan saved, which happens when you start your business with Ted.
1

Tell Ted about the new business

In the chat, tell Ted what your new business is, and that it replaces this one.
2

Answer his question

If your words don’t say whether it replaces this business, Ted asks you once. Say yes to switch. To keep both, start another foundable instead.
3

Let him tidy up

Ted saves the new name and plan in place of the old ones. Then he updates what still describes the old business, like your scheduled tasks and waiting posts.

What changes

  • Run: the old business’s run ends. Your next Start Run begins a new run.
  • Your email name: it takes the new business’s name, unless your email uses your own domain.
  • Your website and logo: Ted offers new words and a new logo. Nothing goes live until you say so.
Some things keep the old name, like your email address, your web address and connected social accounts. Ted tells you which.

Check that it worked

Ted’s steps say Switched your business, and the new name shows at the top left, or in More on a phone.

If something goes wrong

Ted couldn’t save the switch. Ask him to try again. Only the owner can switch a foundable, in the chat.
Ted says when he couldn’t change it. Change it yourself in the Inbox. See Change your email name or address.
