Foundable and Ted

Foundable is where Ted, your AI employee, runs your business for you and does the work himself. Tell him your idea in your own words. He builds your website, helps you sell, and in Run he works on your business on his own, pass after pass. You can always see what he’s doing and thinking. See Welcome to Foundable.
Ted is your AI employee. You talk to him in the chat, and he does the work: he builds your website, drafts your emails, works on your business in Run, and tells you when he needs you. In your team list he shows as “Employee”. See Meet Ted.
No. Describe what you want, and Ted builds it. Every plan, Free included, has “Ted builds your websites”: “Just describe it, no code needed”. See Build your website.
It’s your business in Foundable, with its own websites, email address and everything Ted makes for it. A new one is called “New foundable” until it has a name. See Your foundables.
Yes, on a plan with room for more. The Free plan includes one foundable, and each plan’s card says how many it holds. To start another, press your foundable’s name at the top left, then Create foundable.
Yes. Foundable comes in English and many other languages, from Spanish and French to Japanese, Hindi and Swahili. Open the account menu (the round button at the top right) and press Language. Your choice saves to your account and reloads the page.

Your website

Visitors can’t. As the Publish panel says, “They never see the changes you make until you publish them.” A preview you open in a new tab has its own link, though, and anyone you share that link with can see the preview. See Publish your website.
An address ending in foundable.app, like yourname.foundable.app. You pick the name when you first publish, and you can change it later with Edit URL. For an address like yourbusiness.com, use your own domain.
No. Publishing works on every plan, Free included. A paid plan adds your own domain and lets you hide the “Made with Foundable” badge.
Yes. Ask Ted for a new website, and it appears in Build. Only one website is live at a time: publishing another one replaces it. See Build your website.
Yes. Every change Ted saves is a version, and every version stays. Open your website’s history and press Revert to this version, or press Undo latest edit under Ted’s reply. See Version history.
Foundable registers it through Name.com and holds it in trust for your foundable. WHOIS privacy is on, so your contact details stay out of the public domain records. It renews each year from your credits until you turn off Auto-renew. The terms are in the Domain Holding Agreement. See Buy a domain.

Ted’s work and your OK

The emails, posts and replies Ted drafts wait for your OK. In the chat, he does what you ask, like publishing your website when you ask him to. In Run, you choose: with Ask first, “Ted waits for your approval before anything goes public”. With Runs on its own, he sends emails and publishes posts where you allow it, on a paid plan. A change to your live website always waits for your Approve. See Approve Ted’s work.
Run is Ted running your business on his own in the background, pass after pass, while you can always see what he’s doing and thinking. Your first run is free. See Run: Ted runs your business.
In Ask first, Run pauses when an email, a post or a website change needs your answer. It says “Paused until you decide …”. Approve or decline what’s waiting, and Ted goes on. See Decisions and website changes.
Ted’s work uses your credits. He never buys a domain for you: only your Buy does. In Run, you set a budget, and Ted asks you before he spends past it. See Plans and credits.
Yes, on every plan, by SMS or iMessage. Open the account menu, press Text Ted, then scan the code with your phone or send one text. See Text Ted from your phone.

Selling

You do. Payments runs on your own Stripe account, and “Revenue is paid out to your bank account on a regular schedule.” Stripe’s fees apply: “Pricing follows Stripe’s standard rates.”
No. “Foundable does not calculate or collect tax on your sales.”
Yes. In test mode you buy with Stripe’s test card, and no money moves. See Test a purchase.

Plans, credits and billing

Credits pay for Ted’s work: building your website, his runs, drafting replies, buying domains and your website’s AI. Each of Ted’s replies shows the credits it used. See Plans and credits.
You can start on the Free plan. It gives you free credits each day, up to a monthly limit. On Free, Ted builds your websites, you can publish them, and you can text Ted. There’s no free trial of the paid plans.
Every paid plan includes every paid feature:
  • Ted running your business on his own in Run
  • your social accounts, and Ted’s posts to them
  • buying a domain, or using one you own, with email on it
  • no “Made with Foundable” badge on your website
  • your team working with Ted
  • emails from your website to your customers
  • downloading your website’s code, and bigger files in the chat
The plans, Standard, Pro and Max, differ in their credits, in how many foundables they hold, and in a few extras like Priority support.
Open Settings, then Plans & credit usage, and press Compare plans. You can also ask Ted: he knows the plans and their prices.
Ted stops, and a card above the message box shows what to do, like Get more credits or Upgrade now. On the Free plan, it says when your free credits come back. Your first website’s build never pauses for credits.
Open Settings, then Plans & credit usage, and press Manage billing. You can also cancel at link.com. Your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, then you’re on Free. Plan credits you didn’t spend come back if you pay again before they lapse.
Read the Refund & Dispute Policy. To ask, email support@foundable.com from your account’s email address.
No. Everyone in your foundable spends the owner’s credits. In Team, the owner sees what each person used this month.
Invite friends with your link from Earn credits. When a friend joins with it, you earn credits, and earned credits never expire. See Earn credits.

Your account, team and data

Your account is on the waitlist. Foundable lets people in from the line: “We’ll let you know the moment it’s your turn.” Press See your spot in line to see where you are. See Create your account.
Open Settings, then Team, and press Invite people, or make an invite link. A team needs a paid plan. “Invites expire in 7 days.” See Invite your team.
  • Owner: “Everything, plus starting or stopping Run, the plan and billing”.
  • Admin: “Approves Ted’s posts and emails, connects tools and invites people”.
  • Member: “Talks to Ted and works on the website with him”.
  • View only: “Sees what Ted is doing and what he made, and changes nothing”.
Open the account menu and pick Light, Dark or System next to Appearance. It’s saved on this device only, and Foundable starts in light until you choose.
Only the owner can. Open Settings, then General, press Delete foundable and type its name. Its website goes offline and its scheduled posts are cancelled. This can’t be undone. See Privacy and deleting your data.
Open Settings, then Account. Under Danger zone, press Delete account and type DELETE. It deletes every foundable you own, with their websites and data, and your plan stops at once: “The rest of this billing period isn’t refunded.” This can’t be undone.
Yes. “Email privacy@foundable.com and we’ll send it to you.” See Privacy and deleting your data.
Press Support at the top right of Foundable, or email support@foundable.com. See Get help.
