When you disconnect, your foundable stops taking payments with its Stripe account. The account and its sales history stay yours at Stripe.

Before you start

  • Only the owner can do this.
  • It’s final. You can’t link the same Stripe account to this foundable again.
  • Your customers’ subscriptions end at once, and their billing stops. Disconnecting doesn’t refund past sales.
1

Open the menu

In Build, press Tools, then Payments. At the top, press … (More options).
2

Choose Disconnect payments

It’s under Danger zone. A window says what happens.
3

Confirm

Type DISCONNECT in the box, then press Disconnect.

Check that it worked

A note confirms it. It says your Stripe account is still yours at dashboard.stripe.com. Then Payments says this account can no longer take payments.

If something goes wrong

Your role can’t do this. Ask the owner.
This account can no longer take payments: the owner or Stripe ended it. To sell again, the owner or an admin presses Start accepting payments. Stripe makes a new account in its place.
