It can be a website made anywhere, like on Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or Lovable, that people open in a browser. Ted reads it to learn your business, and you don’t need a new website.

Bring in your website

Ted can do this for you: send him your website’s address and ask him to bring it in. Or the owner or an admin presses Import at the top of the Build board. They enter the address and press Bring it in, and its card says Your external site. See Your own website.

What Ted does for it

  • In Run. His posts, emails and outreach are about your website and send people to it. While your business has its own website, Run builds no new one.
  • In the chat. He reads your website whenever the work needs it.
  • With websites in Build too. Make yours the primary site, the one Run works on.

What stays with your website

Build can’t change a website made elsewhere, so you keep editing it where you made it. Payments adds checkout only to websites made in Foundable. The Visitors card on Home counts only a website you publish from Foundable. To move it to Foundable later, ask Ted to rebuild it. He copies its words and look into a new website in Build, and your old one stays online. To keep your web address, called a domain, connect it to the new website. Using your own domain needs an active plan.
